Success Fact: Julian Taylor

Julian Taylor

I started my music career when I was just a teenager, and now over 20 years later, I am still making music and enjoying myself more than ever. It hasn’t been an easy mountain to climb. In fact, at times, it has felt next to impossible. It’s taken a lot of hard work to sustain a career in music, but it has also taken endurance, hope, a little luck, and the support of organizations like Radio Starmaker.

The business has changed so much over the past two decades. I vividly remember when Radio Starmaker first launched and gave the independent music community and artists a much-needed fuel injection to compete in Canada and on the Global stage. Radio Starmaker has become one of the most valuable partners in the advancement and sustainability of my independent music career.

Touring, recording, and marketing your craft isn’t easy. It’s a full-time job and isn’t a job for the faint of heart. Plus, you cannot do it alone. You need the assistance of professional expertise. With the support of Radio Starmaker, I’ve been able to tour Canada extensively and promote my last two releases, The Ridge and Beyond the Reservoir. In 2023 I will finally embark on my first tour overseas and head to Great Britain, The Netherlands, and Switzerland, and I have also started touring The United States for the first time.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be living out my hopes and dreams. I sincerely feel as if I am walking in my purpose as an artist thanks to the generosity and support of Radio Starmaker.  Without their support, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you, Radio Starmaker.
