Success Fact: Ocie Elliott

Ocie Elliott

Starmaker has been instrumental to the success Ocie Elliott has experienced in recent years. The duo released their newest four-song EP Slow Tide in March 2021, garnering over 20 million global streams and receiving a JUNO nomination for Breakout Group of the Year while touring extensively throughout Europe and the US, supporting internationally renowned artists Hollow Coves and Joshua Radin.

Support tours of this magnitude can be costly but yield impressive results. They were made possible with the support of Starmaker, allowing the band to quickly develop markets they are now servicing through their own headlining tours. In addition to international touring, Starmaker support has allowed the duo to play mainstay domestic festivals, including Edmonton Folk Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Constellation Festival, Kaslo Jazz fest and many more.

Starmaker support also allowed the band to hire experienced publicists and marketing teams to supplement label support in each market internationally with tour dates and releases. This has resulted in increasingly larger venues and audiences, with the duo’s global streams growing exponentially over the past year while contributing to exposure and undoubtedly helping with Ocie Elliott’s significant increase in sync revenue. We have no doubt that Starmaker’s support has significantly expedited Ocie Elliott’s domestic and international development, increasing their global streams and establishing them as a globally recognized indie-folk duo.
