This year, JUNO nominated Alt/Rock group The Blue Stones released Hidden Gems, their second album and follow-up to their 2018 breakthrough album Black Holes. Thanks to Starmaker support, we were able to focus on high charting at Alt Radio Rock formats in North America. With the investment, The Blue Stones reached new highs - their single “Shakin Off The Rust” was the band’s first Top 5 at US radio on the Billboard Mainstream Radio Chart, #1 on the Billboard Canadian Rock Radio chart, and Most Played song at Canadian Active Rock. “Let It Ride” peaked at #3 at Active Rock and #5 at Alternative radio, their first Top 10 at the format.
With Starmaker’s international marketing support, we grew the band’s market in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe by engaging established publicists to manage press and work commercial and specialty radio in each territory. The investment has led to upcoming US and UK/European Union headline tour dates in larger venues and new markets. As Hidden Gems surpasses 35 million global streams, there is no doubt that Starmaker’s support has helped us to galvanize The Blue Stones as a globally recognized Alternative Rock group.
