Success Fact: The Weather Station
The Radio Starmaker Fund has been absolutely essential to the success of The Weather Station Ignorance campaign, in a very uncertain and unpredictable year for releasing music. The fund provided support for many key moments since the February release, which has enabled The Weather Station to keep growing momentum and capitalize on the many achievements of the record.
Starmaker provided funding support for the production of a ticketed live stream performance of the full album, filmed at the prestigious Revolution Recording studios in Toronto. The funding was vital in ensuring a world class broadcast was created, and over 1,000 tickets were sold globally. Additional funding allowed the band to continue to push towards major opportunities in key markets, securing the band's debut US TV performance and hitting over 15 prominent 'Best Of 2021' mid-year lists.
More recently, Starmaker has provided funding for The Weather Station to play in the biggest rooms they have headlined to date. The funding has allowed founder Tamara to secure a larger, fuller band, which will give audiences a world class show worthy of the accolades that Ignorance has garnered in its release year.
