The generous funding allotted to me by Radio Starmaker has made a profound impact on my career, and I am so grateful for that. Without their financial assistance, I would have been forced to turn down crucial tour and radio opportunities. For instance, when I was offered a three-week Canada tour as support for Carly Rae Jepsen, I was ecstatic but obviously worried about how to finance the excursion. Starmaker funding allowed for me to accept the tour, hire a sound engineer, and pay for the many touring expenses that can leave an independent artist bankrupt. Similarly, Starmaker granted me the opportunity to tour America for the first time as support for JOAN in spring of 2020, with my own headline tour across Canada following our US dates. Experiences like these are invaluable for developing artists such as myself, as the exposure across America facilitated massive fan base growth and the Canada tour helped to maintain and enrich my Canada fan base.

These tours have also helped me build a story for radio, which was important as we pushed my single ‘Gravity’ to radio within Canada and eventually saw it climb to the Top 20 radio charts. Following this accolade, I was announced as a Juno nominee for Dance Song of the Year, which was a phenomenal feeling. I truly believe these strides in my career wouldn’t have been possible without touring and the help I received from the Radio Starmaker Fund.
