Success Fact: Robotaki

Thanks to the Radio Starmaker Fund grant over the last two years, I’ve been able to apply truly critical funding to the growth of my touring artist project, Robotaki, on an international scale. I can confidently say that the funding, and the wonderful support network that is the Radio Starmaker team, has helped my music career immensely. Thanks to the funding, key support tours and one-off gigs in distant markets have become more financially feasible. One example that comes to mind is playing back-to-back nights to sold out 9,000 capacity crowds as direct support for Odesza at Stanford University’s Frost Amphitheater, shortly followed up by a festival in Seattle. The grant funding has paved the way to meeting countless new collaborators in these situations, industry players, and most importantly, I’ve been able to meet and scale my fanbase across the US. Being able to share in-person experiences with fans is truly what makes this all worth it and having the financial flexibility to say yes to more strategically routed gigs has truly been instrumental in the rapid growth of this project.

More recently, Radio Starmaker touring funds played a major role in funding my debut LP and pursuant headline tour across the US. On a more granular level, the funding has afforded me the opportunity to create a multi-sensory live show production and activate strategic record marketing tactics with my team that have yielded millions of streams internationally since release. The funding has also been applied to key expenses on the road, from things as simple extra luggage costs for all my gear, to tour bus rentals, and localized growth marketing campaigns. Myself and our whole team have seen the clear correlation between the funding and the expansion of my fanbase in every market I’ve visited.
