Scott Helman has been fortunate to benefit from Radio Starmaker funding since 2017 and continues to be grateful for the increased market awareness it has brought him. Scott has seen a steady rise in online followers as well as in the capacity of venues he’s performing, both domestically and abroad. Together, Scott’s career has demonstrated strong market growth in many territories with funded performances in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and USA.

The funding support from Radio Starmaker allowed management and label to take financial risks in accepting highly influential opening act tours. In 2018, the support from Starmaker helped cover touring expenses as the opening act for Vance Joy in Canada and Europe, giving a major boost to his streaming and overall artist awareness. Starmaker support also allowed Scott Helman to completed three American tours in 2019, including opening for Marianas Trench and Dean Lewis.

The resulting exposure from Starmaker-funded tours boosted the singles “Hang Ups” and “PDA” into Top 10 then No. 1 status on pop radio in Canada. Both singles reached Gold status in Canada, millions of streams internationally, and multiple JUNO nominations in 2018 and 2019, including Songwriter of the Year. Additionally, the Radio Starmaker Fund support allowed Scott the ability to travel with a tour manager and backing musicians, thereby creating Canadian employment opportunities.

All these accomplishments were greatly impacted by Radio Starmaker’s funding, for which Scott and his entire team is very grateful.
