Success Fact: Alexandra Stréliski

Alexandra Streliski

Alexandra Stréliski released her album Inscape in October 2018. Since then the album has won Album of the Year at the Independent Music Awards, was long listed for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize and was recently nominated for seven ADISQ awards. It has reached classical sales charts in 20 countries worldwide, including peaks at No. 1 in Canada, No. 2 the UK, and No. 5 in the US.

Support from the Radio Starmaker Fund has allowed Stréliski to hit the ground running both in Canada and internationally. The visual experience is an important component of Stréliski’s live show, and thanks to the support of the Radio Starmaker Fund, she has also been able to bring this experience on the road and to her growing audience. This funding has permitted Stréliski to tour with the talented technicians that help bring her music to life in a live setting. Notably, she has performed at a sold-out Théâtre Maisonneuve as part of the Montréal International Jazz Festival, two sold-out nights at the Palais Montcalm in Quebec City, and opened for Coeur de Pirate at Paris’ Salle Pleyel. Stréliski continues to receive critical praise for her live performances, and with the continued support of the Radio Starmaker Fund, looks forward to continuing to tour Inscape and to increase ticket sales, album streams, and radio presence.
