Success Fact: Neon Dreams

The success of Neon Dreams has always been based off touring and live performances. Travelling to new markets and performing live is the core driving force and starting point behind the band's success in other measurements such as streaming, sales, radio and publicity. Without the support of the Radio Starmaker Fund, touring in new markets would be nearly impossible and would result in limited and restricted performances. Radio Starmaker Fund has enabled us to bring the exact performance and live show we want our fans and first-time viewers to see throughout both Canada and the US.

Building a strong touring foundation through Radio Starmaker Fund's assistance has brought Neon Dreams from performing in small clubs onto bigger festival stages and opening opportunities on both arena and theatre tours. As Radio Starmaker Fund's support continues for Neon Dreams, we are growing closer to becoming the hard ticket headlining act we strive to be.

Application Evaluation

Applications to the Radio Starmaker Fund are evaluated on four major criteria:

• The track record of the artist
• The amount of money invested by the applicant and his/her label
• The quality of the marketing plan, both the proposed RSF portion and the portion to which the applicant has committed through their significant investment
• The amount of money the Radio Starmaker Fund has available for the round

In order to qualify for the Radio Starmaker Fund, artists are required to reach prescribed sales levels by genre and demonstrate a financial commitment to the marketing of their recorded project. Furthermore, the artist must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant and the ownership of the master recording must reside with a Canadian company.
