Success Fact: Braids

Over the past few years, Braids has received Radio Starmaker funding via the domestic and international touring programs. Live performance has always been a keystone in Braids' career growth. Starmaker funding allowed us to drastically broaden our touring scope and helped us build a fanbase in new markets from the ground up.

In the past two years we've used this to coordinate expansive tours through Central Europe and Asia. These tours have helped forge new relationships in these territories, and we've seen them grow to being viable touring markets for the band. We were also able to take on a month-long UK tour supporting KT Tunstall, performing in 1,500 - 2,500 capacity theatres and symphony halls – a once-in-a-career experience and an incredible opportunity to expand the band's fanbase to listeners we'd otherwise never access.

All in all, the funding allowed us to extend promotional touring of our latest record by an additional eight to twelve months, and helped facilitate the release of an accompanying EP. In a rapidly changing music landscape, Radio Starmaker tour funding has been an invaluable facilitator to the band's recent success.
